No Dealer Prep. No Added Markup. Just Honest Pricing.

What Is Dealer Prep & Added Dealer Markup?

Before a new motorcycle, ATV, PWC, or side-by-side ever hits the showroom floor, a dealership has to prepare it for sale. This includes uncrating, assembling, inspecting, testing, and making sure it’s ready to ride safely and properly.

These steps cost dealerships real time and money. Many dealers choose to pass that cost on to the customer as a dealer prep fee or roll it into what’s commonly called Added Dealer Markup (ADM). In some cases, those fees are even inflated beyond the actual cost of preparation.

At Capitol Yamaha, we do things differently.

Buying should be a straightforward and stress-free experience. That’s why we don’t charge added dealer markup or prep fees. We absorb the cost of getting your vehicle ready so you get a clear, honest price—no surprises, no fine print, and no last-minute add-ons.

Just a great ride. Ready to go. At a fair price.
